While residing in the newly converted Bracken Barn, you’ll enjoy a rural glamping farmstay like no other

Situated south of the mesmerising Lake District and west of the stunning Yorkshire Dales, you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking views of the Cumbrian countryside.

Your family or group of friends will benefit from our comfortably furnished double and twin bedrooms and our wooden Pod, located just outside the barn and exclusive to your stay.

The barn itself boasts a spacious open-plan living area with plenty of seating, perfect for spending quality time together. It has been lovingly designed with home-from-home features, like the private bathroom and equipped kitchenette, to make your stay as pleasant and convenient as possible.

You can also enjoy a large furnished outdoor area with calming views over the fields. You’ll even have your own BBQ and dining area all to yourselves.

Bracken Barn is our largest barn conversion onsite, fitted with everything you’ll need for perfect family holidays near the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District Parks.

You’ll either sleep tranquilly in the spacious double bedroom, featuring a wardrobe, bedside tables, and a dressing table for optimum storage, in the cosy twin bedroom, also with a wardrobe and bedside tables, or on a comfortable pull-out bed in the living room.

Bed linen is provided in all bedrooms.

If you’re a party of eight, two of your guests will get a unique yet restful night's sleep in our marvellous wooden Pod, situated just outside the barn. The snug Pod features two twin beds, a seating area, and ample under-bed storage for luggage.

Also situated just outside the barn is the large terrace, equipped with a dining table and gas BBQ, with magnificent views overlooking the fields. You’ll also have private use of the BBQ hut!

If you don’t fancy a BBQ, Bracken Barn has a fully functioning kitchenette with a large fridge, hob, kettle, toaster, and microwave, as well as plenty of cupboard space. There’s also a communal pizza oven - just bring your dough and toppings!

We’ve even stocked the kitchen with cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, cleaning products, and tea and coffee-making facilities to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

We also include white fluffy towels in your stay, which can be used in the private bathroom in the middle of the property. It features a roomy shower, a deep sink and bathroom cabinet, and a toilet.

Yes it does. The Bracken Barn features under-floor heating and room-controlled heating to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Bracken Barn, or any of our accommodations here at Newlands Farm, does not have a television. However, we have free, high-speed WiFi that you can use on your personal devices if you want to stream and catch up on your favourite programmes during your stay.

Bracken Barn has space for one car outside the property. Parking here is free.

Yes. Bracken Barn is located entirely on the ground floor, making it accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Please note there is a step up into this property.

In the open-plan living room, you’ll find a comfortable corner sofa, positioned towards the glass doors so you can enjoy the view, and a driftwood coffee table.

The kitchen has a large dining table and chairs for when the weather won’t allow outside dining.

Nope! We’ve got those covered. There is a bucket of logs available for all guests.
