Our stables weren’t purpose-built for holidays. The original buildings were traditional working stables, and the barn was a storage shed for hay, bedding, and farm machinery. Instead of starting from scratch, we carefully converted these historic farm buildings into a unique glamping retreat in Kendal, preserving their character while introducing modern comforts.

When designing glamping in the Lake District, we wanted to respect the site’s agricultural heritage while creating a space that feels warm, welcoming, and relaxing.

Our three stables are fitted with infra - red heating panels which heat the building efficently offering year round comfort. The two barns Heather and Bracken both benefit from cosy underfloor heating providing year round warmth and comfort.
